Litter results are randomized, to create diversity and bring a surprise to members. If you would like more control over the results of your litter, there are several items for that in the Shop.
Litters are rolled using dice, or a digital equivalent- d6 means a six-sided die, etc. Here is a brief overview of how this is done:
Number of Kits- Roll 1d6.
Sex of Kits- Roll 1d6; 1-3 = male, 4-6 = female.
Male Tortoiseshell- If tortie patterns are possible from this pairing, roll 3d20 per male kit. If total is 5 or less, kit becomes a male tortie. Roll 1d6 per male tortoiseshell; 1-4 = infertile, 5-6 = fertile.
Appearance- Kit appearances will be based upon the parents. You may choose to use genetics-based rolling(Which will auto-generate gene strings for the kits as well), or loose rolling, which uses only the picture and description provided.
Physical Mutation- Roll 3d20; if total is 20 or less, kit gains a physical mutation. Roll 1d6; 1 = Tooth/Claw/Paw mutation, 2 = Color Mutation, 3 = Leg/Height Mutation, 4 = Tail Mutation, 5 = Fur/Coat Mutation, 6 = Ear/Eye Mutation.
Disability- Roll 3d20; if total is 20 or less, kit gains a disability of some sort. Roll 1d4; 1 = Sensory Disability, 2 = Physical Disability, 3 = Internal/Unseen Disability, 4 = Deadly Disability
Parental Traits- Roll 1d6 for each parent; 1-4 = trait in order of listing, 5-6 = no trait inherited.
Stillborn- Roll 3d20 per kit; kit is stillborn if total is equal to or less than the Stillborn Threshold(Base of 15 + seasonal modifier + mother age modifier + other modifiers{See Below})
Death in Childbirth? The mother's RPer may opt-in for the chance of the mother dying in childbirth. This uses the same style of roll as the Stillborn rolls. Note that you are still allowed to kill the mother even if this roll is unsuccessful; however, you must do so in RP.
Stillborn Modifiers
Season:
New-leaf(March-May); -2
Green-leaf(June-August); 0
Leaf-fall(September-November); +2
Leaf-bare(December-February); +5
Age of Mother:
12-15 moons; +5
16-20 moons; +3
21-25 moons; +1
26-80 moons; +0
81-90 moons; +1
91-100 moons; +3
101+ moons; +5
Other Modifiers:
Major Mutation Parent; +5
If Mother Has Kitted This Month; +3
If Mother Kitted Last Month; +1
Deadly Disability Parent; +4
The highest stillborn probability is a 12 - 15 or 101+ moon old cat in Leaf-bare, with a major mutation, who has kitted already both this month and last month. 15 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 1 = 34, thus the probability of a stillborn is 56.67%.
The lowest stillborn probability is a 26 - 80 moon old cat in New-leaf. 15 - 2 + 0 = 13, thus the probability of a stillborn is 3.58%.

If you do not like the outcome of your kit, you may purchase a kit reroll item in the shop that will allow one kit per item to be rerolled. Rerolls can only be applied once per kit; you cannot keep rerolling the same kit over and over.
You may have a litter with multiple fathers by using the Multi-father Litter item for 2k acorns. In the case of a two-father litter, each of you will fill out the form as normal and post all three on a single breeding request thread. The mother's RP requirement section must list an interaction RP for each father.
If StarClan's Protection is applied, the kit does not receive a disability roll. If Kit Appearance is applied, the kit does not receive a trait roll. If Kit Appearance is applied and color mutation is rolled, the mutation is ignored.
Mutations and disabilities gained through breeding cannot be major/impossible without rolling the specific number.
If genetics for both parents are provided, kits will roll for genotype on a d4 per gene provided. All unprovided genes will be guessed on where possible.
When noting parental traits, know that you cannot list major disabilities or major mutations. These must be purchased and applied to the kit on the breeding forum or immediately upon creation. For example, a cat with analgesia and a cat with two tails may not list those traits for inheritance. If you really want it that badly, save up for the appropriate item.
This method may change in the future. Any changes will be added to this method.[/spanspan]
