Male : 204 moons : GladeClan : Elder : Unknown
Appearance: {one-line appearance for clan listings}
A Grizzled Old Tom with scrappy grey fur.
The cat's appearance; 50 words minimum.
His fur is scrappy and silvered, which has come from a combination of a naturally messy coat, and his advanced age. Over the years, it has grown very thin, exposing his skinny and seemingly frail body. He had olive green eyes, which match the moss that nearly always clings to patches of his coat. His ears are larger than is typical for a cat of his size. Every one of the chips and tears in his thin pelt have an interesting story, which he is happy to tell any young kitten who is willing to hear it. He has a very expressive and amusing face, and is almost always wiggling his ears or scrunching up his nose in reaction to some comment made by his clanmates. Finally, his claws are long and cracked, and have become scraggly from moons and moons of being scuffed and worn.

Personality:
{briefly; Wise, Mysterious, Traditional }
Detailed personality here;
Swampymoss is rightfully regarded as one of the wisest cats in all of the clans, if for no other reason than his advanced age. , Swampymoss has been the mentor to many apprentices, nearly all of whom became strong warriors It is said that he can often guess which young cat would be assignEd to him, and that he will spend extra time with that kit before they are paired together.. Even outside of the official mentoring circle, he is a teacher, as he is usually seen around the nursery, teaching the soon to be apprentices what they will need to know. Because of this, Gladeclan’s can pride itself on having some of the best prepared apprentices of any of the clans.
But, outside of being a teacher, Swampymoss also has a striking sense of humor. He often amuses himself by convincing others that he is nothing more than a senile old fool, only to turn around and dispense wisdom. When he can, he will tell kits, or anyone else, that he is far older than he is, up into the 900 moon range. And seeing as no cat in the clan can remember a time when he was young, some may even believe him.
As you may have guessed, Swampymoss has quite a soft spot for younger cats, as well as anyone who reminds him of his past.

History:
Unfortunately, much of Swampymoss's life story is lost, known by only him. Snippets of his history are shared with his classmates, but most will find that it is hardly enough to concoct an entire life. This saddens Swampymoss, as there are many things he wishes he could share, but does not think anyone would care to hear.
One of these such things is the story of him and the she-cat that won his heart, Tigerlily.
"Sunlight....her pelt was like warm sunlight. And her mew sounded like soft summer rain. I never thought she would take a second glance at a tom like me, but...she did. We were young then, and we thought we could do anything we set our hearts to. The medicine cats told us that having kits was risky, but we thought that we could take on anything. None of our kittens ever got to open their eyes. And Tigerlily...she didn't wake up."
After the death of his mate, Swampymoss put his whole self into mentoring, even going as far as to spend time around the nursery, training kittens until they became apprentices. One of these apprentices was a young tomcat named Redpaw. Unfortunately, Swampymoss would only train Redpaw for a few moons before he tragically slipped into the river, and drowned before any cat could save him. Soon after the death of Redpaw, Swampymoss took on another apprentice, Fogpaw. Luckily, Swampymoss was able to see Fogpaw's training all the way through, and now his former apprentice is the leader of a clan.
Moons later, Swampymoss trained a young she-cat named Dovepaw. She was...difficult, to say the least. She was always focused on her appearance, and wanting to get the attention of her fellow apprentice, Fallenpaw. And yet, Dovepaw never did win Fallenpaw's heart. Soon after they became warriors, and Dovepaw was named Dovespider, it was discovered that Fallensun had taken a mate, and that she was pregnant with his kits. Swampyymoss was unable to do anything but watch as his former apprentice spiraled. Soon after, two tomcats, and one she-cat turned up dead, killed by a swift bite to the neck. It was never really uncovered who had been the killer, but rumors spread, as Dovespider was also found dead, having eaten deathberries. Some theorized that Dovespider was the killer, and some thought she was one of the victims. Either way, her death weighted heavily on Swampymoss. Unfortunately, he had not even had the chance to see what was happening, as he had been too busy training another apprentice, Cougarstorm.
Two moons later, the clans started suffering from a horrible bout of illnesses that had been brought on by a sudden increase in the two leg population. The clans had no choice but to leave their old home, and forge a new path.
