BREEDING RULES
+ In order for ANY pair to breed, they must purchase the Stork's Blessing item for 1k; we encourage members to split the bill if possible, so each only pays 500 acorns(Or ~333 acorns in the case of a three-parent litter, etc).
+ Obviously, both partners need to agree to everything done in regards to breeding the two characters. You must have an AMAB (assigned male at birth) and a AFAB (assigned female at birth) cat in order to breed, though the Secret Love item from the shop will allow you to breed without needing an in-character mate. If you use that item, the cat you mated with will not exist in the site. Stork's Blessing is required for all litters, including gay & lesbian cats having a surrogate/discovered litter.
+ Users may not breed their own characters together (at least, not in the same way that different users are able to) In order to breed two characters together, one must purchase the Secret Love item and provide the gene string/traits of the sire or dam that you will be breeding your character with. In the same breath, the sire/dam must follow the same guidelines as Secret Love, meaning no other cats may know who they are.
+ You may reserve-adopt kits preemptively, though note that this does not guarantee you will have that many kits. It's always safest to buy both litter size and StarClan's protection items to be sure.
+ Other members may add items to a litter with, and only with, the consent of both roleplayers parenting the litter. Items added by members other than the parent's roleplayers may only affect their reserved kitten, and are not refunded if the kitten is stillborn. This also goes for kit reservations and the number of kittens from the litter size item; if one parent doesn't agree, that is considered a "No" vote. If it comes you light that you've ignored your litter partner and done so anyway, you will receive a warning.
+ IMPORTANT: You may add items or change their specifics(ie, changing the number of kits from Litter Size) to a litter at any time except within 24 hours of the litter being rolled. This is to give cat breeders enough time to take note of your items and ensure that both parents have agreed to the changes.
+ Both cats must have been created over a week ago, and must have been written in three different threads in order to breed. This is to prevent people making characters only to breed them and then never touching them again. One line mentions do not count as a thread.
**In order to breed again, three additional threads are required for both characters.
+ Post a topic with both cats that wish to breed using the breeding template. Once the pairing is accepted, you will get a response saying the date that your kittens shall be rolled, and then born. Items can be bought from the shop that allow you to speed this up, but it will normally take a full month until birth. Items from the shop can also allow you to pick the gender or appearance of one kit from your litter (but multiples must be bought if you wish to choose for). You may also purchase an item that allows you to choose the size of your litter (a maximum of six kits) and an item that allows you to protect one kit at birth.
+ If both parents' forms provide at least some genetics, kit appearances will be based heavily or exclusively on genetics rolling. If not, genetics will be assumed but not set in stone.
+ In order to use items for your litter, post which ones you are using in your breeding form
+ If no items are used, then the cat breeder randomizes your kits for you. Do not complain or protest. And, of course, please be respectful to your breeding partner.
+ If you do not like your rolled kits, you can buy the kit reroll item. Rerolls must happen before you create the kits or put them up for adoption. You cannot add additional items to reroll, e.g. you don't like the colour of the kit, so you reroll with kit appearance applied.
+All kittens born on-site must be created by their birth date. If any person who has adopted a kit steps down or believes they may run out of time, you can ask for an extension once per kitten to re-adopt or give time to write. An extension can last up to a week, for a maximum final date of one week out from the original kit birthdate.
