➳Simple Personality Description
➳Hard Worker
It was instilled in Amanita from a young age that she had to earn her ability to live. She had to provide something if she wished to eat. She had to have sufficient knowledge if she wished to share her voice. She had to deserve everything that she was given. Although this instilled a mindset that she had to pull her own weight, this also made it so that Amanita is very critical of herself and others. Did someone really do enough to deserve being praised? Did they work hard enough to deserve rewards? And why should someone else be freely given something that she had to fight tooth and claw for?

➳Imaginative
Amanita was always a hopeless dreamer. She said that she could dream herself away from her difficult life, or imagine herself into some different world. Surely, she always believed, it was possible for things to be better if she could just be somewhere else....if she were someone else. The world that she was in would never be enough for her.
➳Emotional
Amanita never learned what she was actually supposed to do with her emotions. Often, she tries to keep them bottled up inside of her, not daring to show any weakness for fear of rejection or ridicule. However, when her emotions are let out, they come in waves of overwhelming passion, blinding her to reason.
➳Loyal
Even throughout her romance with Thunderleap, Amanita was unerringly loyal to the Black Fang, especially the cats among them who had been her foster family. She would have fought tooth and claw to defend them from the clan cats who wished to drive them out of their home, even without the death of Thunderleap.
➳Unforgiving
Once someone hurts Amanita, it is nearly impossible to regain her trust.

ღ𝑩𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏ღ
She grew up in a small colony of rogues, which called itself the Black Fang. At the time, the group was pretty small and unorganized, made up of mostly abandoned strays and the cats that nobody bothered to look for when they got lost. Her youth was a hard one, as she never knew who her real family was, and she was often ridiculed by others for her strange appearance, as well as the fact that she was naturally smaller and weaker than some of her fellow rogues. As a member of the Black Fang, she was often treated as little more than just another young mouth to feed, and she was told that she had to do everything she could in order to earn her place, as well as her next meal.
However, her dark world finally brightened when she met Thunderleap, a tomcat from the nearby clans. He helped her learn how to hunt and fight better, as well as educating her about his clan's belief in StarClan. He even introduced her to a few of his friends from the clan, including his sister, Pebbleleaf. Although his sister was wary at first, Pebbleleaf and Amanita quickly became close, even calling one another friends. As for Thunderleap, Amanita found that she was quite smitten. For the first time, Amanita truly felt that she belonged.
When the leader of Thunderleap's clan caught wind of what was happening, he swore that he would get rid of the Black Fang once and for all. He had been wanting an excuse to chase them off, and this was just the push he needed. Thunderleap was loyal to his clan and his leader, but he feared for Amanita's safety, as he knew in his heart that she and the rest of the Black Fang were not going to leave easily. He went to the leader and begged him to leave Amanita and her family alone, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. As plans for the attack were made, Thunderleap was placed under near constant guard, most often by his older brother, Raggedtail. It was not until the night of the attack that Thunderleap was able to slip past his preoccupied brother.
However, Thunderleap never made it to the rogues camp. Having rolled in ashes and sap to disguise his appearance and scent, he had prayed that it would be possible for him to slip by undetected by the leader's posse. He never could have imagined that this would also make him unrecognizable to the border patrol that did find him, nor that they would mistake him for an unfamiliar trespasser, or worse, one of the rogues that they were hunting. Things escalated very quickly, and by the time that someone in the patrol realized the truth, it was too late. His own sister, who was among those in the patrol, had unknowingly stood and watched while her brother was torn apart.
Heartbroken by the realization of what had happened, Pebbleleaf went to the only other cat she hoped she could find comfort in. She raced the rest of the way to the rogues camp, just in time to see the leader confronting Amanita.
"Thunderleap is dead..."
Pebbleleaf announced the news of her brother's death to the leader and Amanita alike. She explained his disguise, and how nobody had recognized him, and how she had been too late to stop him from being killed.
Amanita turned on the leader, attacking him. It was his fault that this was happening! If he would have just left things alone, then Thunderleap would still be alive. Soon, the rogue camp became a bloody battleground, and it was nearly impossible to guess which side any cat stood on, nor whose blood covered their pelts. Finally, after much bloodshed, and deaths on both sides, the clan cats were forced to retreat, carrying their dying leader.
Pebbleleaf tried to comfort Amanita by telling her how Thunderleap had spoken of her in his final moments. That was how Pebbleleaf had finally realized it had to be him. The love he had for Amanita was too bright for her to miss.
But, Amanita did not take this as any kind of comfort. In fact, she found that it was nothing but a further insult. Fine, so Pebbleleaf had listened to Thunderleap in his final breath. She had come to tell Amanita what happened. But what good was that? Pebbleleaf had let her brother, Amanita's only companion, die, slaughtered by the cats who were supposed to be his allies.
The two she-cats began to argue. If Pebbleleaf would have stood by her brother, or at least tried to help him, then maybe he would still be alive. But then again, if Amanita had not stuck herself into clan business where she did not belong, then he would never have been so foolish as to land himself in that kind of situation to begin with. The pair of them fought until Amanita had pinned Pebbleleaf down.
Pebbleleaf begged for her life, insisting that this was not what Thunderleap would have wanted. He would never have wanted them to fight like this. Even more so, he would never want his sister to die at Amanita's claws, not when she was carrying kits.
This only angered Amanita more. She should have been the one to have a family! She should have had everything! If Pebbleleaf was so desperate for a family then she never should have turned her back on the one she had! Thunderleap was her family! Starclan, even Amanita could have been her family! So why? WHY? Why had she let her brother die? Why hadn't she stopped the leader? Pebbleleaf deserved a death such as this, where she would be thrown out in the alleyways like a rat. For all anyone else knew, she was just another casualty of this useless battle.
As for Amanita herself, she was soon cast out of the Black Fang, as everyone blamed her for the deaths that occurred that night. Helpless and alone, Amanita wandered for a few moons before she eventually succumbed to her illness and hunger.
However, this would not be the end for her. Still tormented by anger and pain, Amanita became eternally tethered to the Dark Forest, the starless antithesis to the beautiful afterlife Thunderleap had always told Amanita she would one day discover.
